All AHEC Scholars Workshop
On August 10, 2019, Scholars across the five South Texas AHEC Centers were invited to participate in the first-ever ‘All Scholars Workshop’ in San Antonio, TX. ‘All Scholars Workshop’ was a one-day interactive skill and team-building training focused on interprofessional education. Scholars from various disciplines gathered to learn the basic principles of Motivational Interviewing and core principles of interprofessional collaboration. Of the 78 current AHEC Scholars, a total of 33 participated in the workshop. After the success and enjoyment among participants, South Texas AHEC Scholars Program plans to continue the “All Scholars Workshop,” hosting the event annually throughout the various AHEC centers. Special thanks to this year’s hosts, South Central AHEC for planning and preparing the event.
