November is recognized nationally as Diabetes Awareness Month and we hope to make a positive impact in raising awareness. The Diabetes Prevention & Control program with the San Antonio Metro Health District will host its annual Diabetes Health Fair. The event aims to increase awareness about the negative health impacts of chronic diseases like diabetes, and to highlight the many community resources and services available to help our community members, friends and neighbors prevent diabetes completely or to better self-manage the disease. The event will include music, food distribution, Zumba dancing, resource fair, games and more! The Fair will feature a Turkey Drive and Turkey Bingo. Turkey vouchers will be available to the community at NO COST! First Come/First Serve
