Each year Nueces County hosts Operation Health & Wellness. This is usually a collaborative effort with the Department of Defense to aid community members in receiving no-cost medical screenings that they would otherwise put off due to cost. This will be the first year the Department of Defense is unable to attend. This however has not stopped the county and community organizations from banding together to ensure the event continues this year.
