PLÁTICA COMUNITARIA SOBRE LA DEMENCIA Y ALZHÉIMER  EVENTO COMUNITARIO BILINGÜE GRATUITO  UN ESTUDIO Y ENCUENTRO PARA PERSONSA Y FAMILIAS AFECTADAS POR LA DEMENCIA  ¿Sabías que los latinos tienen un riesgo significativamente mayor de padecer Alzheimer y otros tipos de demencia? Sin embargo, los latinos no están bien representados en las investigaciones sobre la demencia. Creemos que la investigación debería incluir a las comunidades más afectadas por la demencia.  Somos un grupo de miembros de la comunidad e investigadores, que estamos trabajando juntos para realizar un estudio que ayude a comprender mejor cómo la conexión con las puede mejorar la representación de los latinos en la investigación relacionada con la demencia.  Estamos invitando a las personas que viven en el sur de Texas que viven con demencia, cuidan a alguien con demencia, son trabajadores de salud comunitarios que apoyan a familias afectadas por la demencia o se ven afectadas por la demencia de otra manera para participar en este estudio.  Considere inscribirse en nuestro estudio para que pueda asistir a una plática comunitaria donde aprenderemos lo que es importante para usted, su cultura y su familia acerca de la demencia.  Este estudio es posible gracias al apoyo de Methodist Healthcare Ministries, el South Texas Area Health Education Center Program (ST-AHEC), Lower Rio Grande Valley AHEC (LRGV-AHEC) y el South Coastal AHEC (SC-AHEC)

COMMUNITY PLÁTICA ABOUT DEMENTIA AND ALZHEIMER'S  FREE BILINGUAL COMMUNITY EVENT    A STUDY & GATHERING FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMLIES IMPACTED BY DEMENTIA    Did you know Latinos have a significantly higher risk for Alzheimer's and other types of dementia? But Latinos are not well represented in research about dementia. We believe research should include the communities who are most impacted by dementia.    We are a group of community members and researchers who are working together to conduct a study to better understand how connecting with communities may improve representation of Latinos in dementia-related research.     We are inviting individuals who live in South Texas who are either living with dementia, caring for someone with dementia, are community health workers who support families impacted by dementia, or are impacted by dementia in another way to participate in this study.    Please consider enrolling in our study so you can attend a community plàtica where we will learn what is important to you, your culture, and your family about dementia.
