Pipeline Programs

ST-AHEC pipeline programs serve as a resource to introduce and engage students from high school through early college into careers in healthcare. We provide a variety of career exploration opportunities geared toward increasing awareness of the multitude of healthcare career disciplines; we are dedicated to introducing students of all ages the numerous opportunities in the health industry.

The ST-AHEC works to cultivate interest and expose middle and high school students to a wide variety of health careers through the following activities:

  • Summer camps
  • Field trips
  • Volunteer and service learning opportunities
  • Internships
  • Scholarships
  • Classroom presentations by healthcare professionals
  • Exposure to available career paths

Through these activities we hope to inspire students to begin the path towards a health career of their choosing, with the prospect that they will one day return to practice in their home area.
